Hurtling through life with only brief pauses, often in the middle of nowhere… a whistle stop.
Bloom where you are planted has become my mantra, replacing my mom’s suggestion of patience grasshopper. I’m trying to have more faith in the what-is and the here-and-now but I’m generally impatient, driven and high-strung. I like the creative chaos, but there is no harm in trying to evolve. So here I am, trying to appreciate the pause, cloud gazing, reflecting and being home. Keeping my monkey-brain at bay and exercising my anxiety with these playfully obsessive marks and textures.
